Good morning and welcome back to today’s edition of The Wolf’s Den. It’s Sunday, May 3rd, and we have a major new set of polling numbers that should terrify Donald Trump, Mike Johnson, John Thune, and every Republican who is going to have to defend this record heading into November.
A new ABC News/Washington Post/Ipsos poll shows Trump’s approval rating falling to 37%, with his disapproval rating climbing to 62% — the highest disapproval number of either of his presidential terms. But the top-line number is not even the most important part. The truly devastating numbers are on the issues Americans actually care about most: cost of living, inflation, the economy, foreign policy, immigration, taxes, and basic leadership. On every single issue measured, Trump is underwater.
